Description
Duties will include but are not limited to the following;

  • Assisting with the efficient daytoday running of the accounts function
  • Managing sales ledger, including the creation of invoices and raising credit notes
  • Managing purchase ledger, including inputting supplier bills and raising credit notes
  • Raising purchase orders and managing the process
  • Manging and raising queries both internally and externally
  • Bank payments
  • Cash collection, reconciling statements and managing cash flow
  • Setting up new clients and suppliers on relevant systems
  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and monthend duties, including ownership of specified control account reconciliations
  • Preparing relevant balance sheet reconciliations and followup issues with relevant stakeholders, including highlighting issues to senior management
  • Providing financial and management information to support management decision making
  • Posting of monthly journals to include prepayments, accruals and payroll
  • Understand, prepare and explain variances against budget/forecast
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Assisting with monthly payroll
  • Dealing with HMRC with regard to VAT, tax and PAYE
  • Ensuring compliance with all company financial controls
  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
  • Providing adhoc finance support and cover as required
  • Potential for growth:
  • There is a potential to develop into a more senior account management role by working closely with the Managing Director.

Required knowledge and experience;

  • A high level of professionalism and maintaining absolute confidentiality at all times
  • A cando attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An organised approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in actively participating in a team environment whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Motivated and takes own initiative
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • AAT Level 3 or above or equivalent accountancy qualification level
  • Experience working in a finance role with knowledge of accounts functions
  • Prior experience in supporting the preparation of management accounts
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
  • Experience using Xero
  • Experience in using Simpro to a high level
  • Preferable having Hardservice experience in FM services

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
