Description:

As a well-established Civil Engineering Company founded in 1972, we are now looking to recruit an additional Procurement Officer/Buyer on a permanent basis to join the team.

You will be based at our Head Office in Motherwell.

This role is a result of growth within the business, and you will be reporting to the Procurement Manager as part of a small team.

This is a fantastic role offering exposure to Procurement of Materials, Plant and Subcontracts.


The Role:

• Providing price and procuring construction of materials. Plant for allocated contract(s). Depending on experience, involvement with Subcontract procurement.
• Evaluating quotations received and completing all necessary checks against specification and budgets
• Raising purchase orders on the companies COINS based system in line with company Internal Processes/Procedures
• Assisting in clearance of queried invoices and any supplier disputes.
• Allocation and reporting of costings
• Supply Chain Management. Monitor supplier performance and reviewing potential new supply chain members
• Support to Site Commercial and Accounting Teams
• Liaising with site teams on a daily basis
• Aiding tendering/Estimating team as and when required
