Description

As a Research Finance Officer at this University your primary responsibility will be to support the Senior Research Finance Officers that provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders involved in research awards.

Main internal stakeholders are; Principal Investigators, Research Support colleagues, Central Finance colleagues & School / Faculty colleagues. Main external stakeholders are; External Research Funders, UKRI, OfS and auditors.


Your Responibilities & Duties:


  • Producing accurate and timely financial reporting to the Principal Investigator budget versus actuals
  • Attend regular review meetings with stakeholders
  • Provide forecasting and budgetary advice and guidance
  • Assess any financial and/or reputational risks and resolve and/or escalate within the agreed policies.
  • Ensure all interim, annual and final claims, invoices & financial reporting to the external stakeholder is complied per contractual guidelines and deadlines.
  • Regular review and resolution of aged debt.

Experience & Qualifications To Apply:


  • Experience of working with Oracle Finance
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the Higher Education Sector and/or Research Funding Administration
  • Level 2 AAT Qualification.

Desirable:


  • Currently studying Level 3 AAT Qualification
