Description
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding engineering team at Silverstone.

The primary focus of the role will be to create accurate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings prototypes and production components in support of R&Dactivity.

This role is aligned to 3D Solidworks CAD modelling of prototype components and mechanism. Also, 2D draughting and tolerancing to ensure components and assemblies are fit for manufacture.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Production of 3D Models.
  • Production of 2D Drawings.
  • Production of BOMs.
  • Support Engineering Department in R&D Activity.
Experience Requirements

  • Degree or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or CAD Engineer working within precision and dynamic electromechanical components, complex mechanisms or assemblies.
  • Strong Solidworks CAD Experience.
  • Experience with rotating systems (e.g. electrical machines, electric motors, bearings, transmissions etc.) (preferred).
  • Good understanding of metallic material selection for production.
