About the role:


We are seeking a Clinical Specialist to join the MMS team and take responsibility for the support, training and education of the BD MMS UK customer base for Acute and Integrated Care.

You will be updating customers and colleagues in trends in Clinical practice, as well as improving outcomes and developing relationships with our key customers.

Main responsibilities will include:


  • To provide in depth training on the full MMS portfolio and Education in line with legislation and recommendations relating to health and safety for Patient and Healthcare Workers, ethics and hospital protocols.
  • Work within BD UK training strategy and product offerings and ensure training is provided in line with training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Collaborate with customer and colleagues to ensure pump configurations and data set development meets customer needs and has full approval In line with SOP.
  • Proactively arrange activities in an organised and efficient manner adhering to company processes.
  • Trade conference and exhibition attendance / coordination as a delegate and to support commercial activities.
  • To provide immediate and accurate reporting on any issues raised.
  • Engage with professional groups such as CQC, NAMDET, RCN, NNNG, PINNT, BAPEN supporting and influencing initiatives.
  • Actively work with the local team members to support and promote BD portfolio. This will include, but not limited to customer presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Support the marketing team in the development of marketing and support material for educational activities.
  • Ensure all training activities adhere to standards aligned to the applicable accredited bodies.
  • To continuously project a professional and ethical image at all times with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for own Continuous Professional Development to maintain and increase clinical and industry knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the Dispensing specialist to facilitate training and audit's both pre and post installation of BD Pyxis.

About you:


  • NMC Registered Nurse / Midwife
  • Revalidation must be maintained/achieved within 12 months of date of commencement of employment.
  • City and Guilds level 3 award in Education and Training or Clinical equivalent (Mentorship/Preceptorship qualification).
  • Evidence of substantial Clinical Experience in specialised therapies.
  • Excellent Clinical skills minimum of 2 years essential, preferably 3 years experience in infusion therapy.
  • Goal oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Proactive and the ability to take initiative with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Passion to "make a difference" to advancing the world of health.
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Selfmotivated demonstrates personal drive and ambition, fostering innovation, focusing on delivering to our customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all BD employees both within the UK and international markets.
  • Embodies trust, integrity and ethics inside and outside of the company.
  • Excellent social skills with the ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Computer literate with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driving's license is essential.
