What is the opportunity?
You will be responsible for the sales of structured securities (Notes, Warrants, Certs) to UK Clients. You will be covering banks, asset managers, pension funds, DFMs and insurance companies. Product coverage to span Structured Rates, Structured Equity & FICC products for both OTC and Notes (where applicable).


What will you do?

  • Primary asset classes of focus are FICC & Equity Derivatives across Structured Securities, OTC options/swaps and listed derivatives.
  • Covering clients who are primarily institutional and DFMs
  • Existing franchise / good knowledge of above sectors
  • Promote RBC's strengths and capabilities across asset classes to client base
  • Gain familiarity with pricing models, regulatory and legal constraints for each market
  • Follow all frameworks and processes existing in GED & FICC EMEA
  • Follow all the guidance in regards to regulation and its implementation
  • Keep up to date with all new rules and regulations impacting Global Markets and its related activities
  • Have ownership of the business and take every decision in a balanced risk/reward approach
  • Diversify the client base of RBC and the risk profile of the products traded
  • Help with the development of products in order to have a balanced source of revenue between premium and recurring fees
  • Liaise with Trading, Structuring, Business Management and other asset class department to offer the best possible products to the clients with acceptable risk to the bank
  • Be mindful of the SPGC guidelines, the SPCF, the SPAF and all regulations (PRIIPS, IOSCO, RMR, EMIR, Hire Act, Volcker Rule, etc.)
  • Escalate to compliance, operational risk, management or any relevant function any issue or potential issue that may arise
  • Review the Desk Procedure regularly and comply with it

What will you need to succeed?

  • Previous sales experience of structured securities (Notes, Warrants, Certs) and OTC derivatives
  • Ideally existing franchise / good knowledge of the sectors
  • Educated to a university degree level
  • Thorough knowledge of Equity, Commodity, FX, Rates derivatives products
