Phoenix Flooring & Bedrooms have two stores in Bromsgrove, we offer a wide selection of different flooring options, which we supply and fit.

We pride ourselves on great customer service and strive to offer quality product and installation.

In store, we workin small teams or sometimes on our own, selling, cutting and preparing the carpets etc ready to go out.

We also visit customers homes to measure and provide accurate quotations.

Experience in a similar role or in the flooring industry will be an advantage.

An understanding of maths is required to calculate prices, measure the rooms and measure the new flooring.

We require an enthusiastic and hard working individual to work as part of our small, friendly team.

This is a varied roll, that will include all aspects of shop work;

• Showroom sales advisor role selling a range of different flooring and beds to end users in both the retail and residential sectors
• Providing support for the showroom manager
• Providing excellent customer service when guiding customers through the sales process
• Maintaining high presentation standards within the showroom
• Building relationships with customers
• Administrative responsibilities such as: answering customers calls, confirming appointments, processing payments, arranging samples to be displayed and chasing sales leads
• Sending out and following up on quotations
• Measuring & cutting carpets
• Arranging deliveries and providing aftersales service
• Allocating jobs to flooring installers and liaising with them about specific customer requirements
• Ordering materials and checking in deliveries
• Maintaining a safe working environment by following all health and safety requirements
• Assisting with deliveries

Our opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, so we expect you to generally work these times with occasional additional hours, 5 days a week including Saturdays, with a day off in the week and some very, very occasional Sundays & Bank Holidays


The ideal applicant will:

• Aged 18 as you will be using knives
• Must have sales experience
• Must have dealt with interior products such as: carpets, wall & floor tiles, LVT and laminate flooring etc
• Happy to engage in the admin elements of the role and comfortable with using Microsoft etc.
• Prepared to work hard and make the most of training.
• Excellent customer service and high levels of organisation
• Excellent communication both written and verbal
• Honest, hardworking team player
• Full UK driving license and use of own car (Mileage allowance paid)
• Due to the heavy nature of carpets this can be a physically demanding job, so you should be fit and strong, with the ability to lift carpets
• You will need to be able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team
