About the Group
Corporate Centre
The Corporate Centre Group delivers a wide range of corporate services to enable people at HM Treasury and many of the other organisations who form part of the Treasury Group (including the Government Internal Audit Agency and the Debt Management Office) to operate effectively and efficiently.

About the Team
The
Treasury Business Solutions (TBS) team are trusted business partners responsible for Technology, Security and Knowledge & Information Management. We have staff based in each of our London, Norwich and Darlington offices.
The TBS Security team are responsible for developing and delivering Treasury's security operations program across all domains:
cyber and information assurance; continuity and resilience; personnel; and physical security.
About the Job
As Cyber Operations Lead at the Treasury, this is your chance to defend HM Treasury from malicious cyber activities.
Using state-of-the-art technologies and security tools, you'll lead the partners and staff in our Response and Monitoring team in our Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC).
This is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to join the Government Security Profession, working at the heart of Government in a time of momentous change and offering a level of exposure and challenge that is hard to find anywhere else.
We are looking for a Cyber Operations Lead to lead on protecting HM Treasury from a wide range of cyber and technical threats.
Guiding the SOC team of partners and staff in their protective monitoring and incident-response activities, you'll anticipate and mitigate issues before they arise - and if an incident does occur, you'll keep the team calm and focused as they tackle the problem.
With an interesting array of projects to work on, it will be your job to evaluate the current service and put measures in place to improve this wherever relevant.
You will work closely with government partners to build capability, develop yourself and your team, and ensure we identify and protect emerging threats in cyberspace.
As an inspirational leader, you'll also:
- Lead monitoring and response operations for our corporate IT systems
- Lead collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre and Government Cyber Coordination Centre (GC3), cyber/IT security colleagues and supplier partners
