Business Development Manager

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be focussed on selling subscriptions to a news and analytics database for the ESG and Sustainable Finance market, helping F.S.

firms banks businesses to make better informed, sustainableinvestments.

As a BDM, you will be responsible for:

Proactively sourcing new clients, qualifying internal leads & closing deals:


  • Managing and growing a portfolio of existing client relationships inc.

Banks, Consultancies and Asset Management firms:

-
Running virtual product demonstrations and attending industry events in-person


Our client has built up a strong reputation within the ESG and Green Finance market with their portfolio of news, media, and industry events.

As a BDM, your role will be focussed on having detailed, consultative conversations with existing clients and newprospects to introduce their data and insights offering to develop new business pipeline.


This role is well suited to a consultative, relationship-builder who is confident presenting, both face-to-face and virtually, within a corporate, financial services environment.


The Company:
Founded in 2011, our client are experts in the ESG and Sustainable Finance market.

Having started as an independent media and events business, they have recently developed a range of data and insights products and are now lookingto focus their commercial efforts on driving new business across these newer subscription offerings.


Headquartered in London, our client is a small but expanding business, who have grown 25% in size in the past two years.

They are a close-knit team who are looking to find a switched on, collaborative individual to fit their mould.


Requirements:
For this Business Development Manager role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 1-2 years of B2B sales experience (required)
  • experience closing new business deals and running product demos is preferable
  • A background in a subscription sales environment is ideal (BI/data/Saas)
  • A presentable, ambitious, intelligent salesperson with an interest in Finance and/or Sustainability
