About the role:

The role is strategically relevant to the successful delivery of required cost case for our business.


It will require cross functional working with many different areas of the UK&I business including all Service Lines, Major Accounts and Verticals.


The role is strategically important to the successful delivery of required cost base for the UK&I Business and requires multi-functional working with many different areas of the UK&I business including all Service Lines, Major Accounts, and Verticals.

You will be responsible for a team coordinating day to day procurement activities, developing and improving the Telco category strategy to achieve corporate growth and OM targets to the UK&I GBU.


The Senior Software Buyer will have the phenomenal chance to be part of an international team of buyers across the region, supported by a centralized procurement back-office.

You will support mainly the regional IT organization.


Atos has a significant portfolio of Publicly and privately held customers for whom you will be asked to participate in bids and offers by your internal collaborators.


Day-to-day responsibilities:

Contribute to the Category Strategy - identify business needs and requirements within the RBU. Develop with the IT Director a Software strategy and assist in completing and implementing the plan.

Actively engage with the Procurement BID team to ensure future requirements are encapsulated in the category strategy. This will include incorporating progressive technology and digital transformation in to the BIDS.

Assist in training and mentoring team members

Collaborate with Global Purchasing to integrate the maximum savings value from the global actions and contracts into the RBU. Support and lead both local and global process changes. Communicate operational facts into global category managers so that additional value can be coordinated into the global actions

Support local bids and new business project related purchases

Encourage blue sky thinking from all partners as to how localised costs can be driven down

Handle post contract supplier relationship for any key local suppliers and contracts.


Liaise with internal partners to understand and agree any transformation/improvement plans and negotiate with suppliers, do delivery the best value for money and savings.

Be and ambassador for Procurement


Requirements:

Strong software IT proficiency.

Strong contract knowledge, the ability to review and negotiate contracts with suppliers with mínimal support from legal

Previous experience of leading partners at a senior level

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure creditability and effective working relationships with internal and external partners - clear focus on delivery to client and demonstrable understanding of requirement to flex business models to meet customer demand

Previous experience in commercial modelling and cost base analysis

Ability to analyse and resolve sophisticated problems quickly to drive performance improvement.

Ability to handle and mitigate risk through effective strategic planning activities
