Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced
Healthcare Assistant to support _a 29-year-old male with Motor Neurons Disease, OCD, and Fluctuating moods.

He requires assistance with Coughing, Occasional Suction and Peg Feeding. He has full communication abilities, uses eye gaze and is softly spoken. For his mobility he does require the use of a track hoist._

He lives with his partner and 8-week-old baby.

He likes football, going out to the park with his children, going out for meals, and getting his hair cut.

He has a very active social life, and the right career needs to be proactive in getting involved with social activities.

It's also very important that you can drive.


You will be working 1:1

You need to be an experienced carer. It is not essential that you have specific experience working with complex needs as you will get all the training you need. You will be trained and supported by our outstanding team of specialists and nurses. This will involve training and shadowing until one of our nurses is happy to sign you off as competent.
Training is paid for.

Pay Rates:

£14.

80 p/hr Monday - Thursday:

£15.05 p/hr Friday:

£17.

05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday:

£20.05 p/hr Bank Holidays

Shifts:


8pm - 8am, 2-3 Shifts Per Week Available


It's vital that we have staff consistency and so you will be required to pick up a minimum number of shifts.

You will be able to pick up more shifts each week if you would like to. Weekday shifts and Weekend shifts are available.

Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.


Full mileage paid from home to this location in PLYMOUTH up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.

Permanent and bank contracts available. You can work full or part time.


You must be patient and caring and able to work on your own while providing care as part of a team.
