A unique opportunity has risen within NHS Lanarkshire for a
Modern Apprenticeship in Business & Administration, based at Airdrie Health Centre.


The post holder will work towards providing comprehensive Administrative and Clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service along with reception desk duties.


In order to be eligible for the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, applicants must be aged between 16 to 24 years old (or up to 29 years old with a disability) with a minimum requirement of
5 x National 5's or equivalent, one of which must be English, or hold equivalent qualifications.

You should be highly motivated and committed to join our Modern Apprenticeship in Business & Administration Programme.


This could be an excellent opportunity for you to gain on-the-job training that will support you in developing a range of business and administrative skills.

You will be required to work towards a SVQ2 qualification in Business & Administration, which will lead to a relevant nationally recognised qualification.


You should be a good communicator with an ability to understand a range of procedures and processes, with a particular interest in administrative roles.

The ability to have a positive approach to work, with IT skills and a working knowledge of software packages is essential.


The postholder should demonstrate interpersonal skills in customer care, have the ability to prioritise work and have good organisational and planning skills.

The post holder will be required to ensure confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times


Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months from start date.
