We are looking for an apprentice to join our administration team to manage data entry, call handling, engineer scheduling, appointment scheduling and technical support.


Cannon Fire & Security is a leading provider of electronic Fire & Security systems operating in the South West for over 30 years.

With over 5000 clients our support team deal with around 800 calls per week arranging site visits and surveys, offering technical support and dealing with general account queries.

We currently have 18 engineers carrying out circa 400 engineer appointments per week.

We have a full-time position available for a bright, enthusiastic & dedicated Service Administrator.

You should have a good telephone manner, good organisational skills, experience in data entry and the ability to communicate well with others.

Some engineering/technical background in Alarms/CCTV/Fire industry is an advantage but not essential


Duties will include:

  • Call handling
  • Appointment booking
  • Data entry
Entry requirements

Maths and English GCSEs at grade 5 or above.

Training to be provided

Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training, remotely, twice a month.


You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your dedicated tutor led meetings on MS Teams and gather any on the job evidence needed to supplement your studies.
