Civic Construction are looking for a Telehandler Driver to work in St. Albans, Herts


Requirements the Telehandler must have:

• CPCS/NPORS
• PPE
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Materials Controller/Forklift Operator or trades person

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply to all health and safety standards and ensure these are adhered to and followed throughout the site.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Uphold and continually improve the company's reputation.
• Maintain good relationships with site management and other site staff including subcontractors.
• Carry out daily checks on the Telehandler. All defects and damages should be recorded, and the site management team should be notified immediately of any defects that could affect the running of the machine.
• Maintain the Telehandler in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and HSE guidelines, including cleaning the Telehandler.
• Safe operation of the Telehandler.
• Collaborative working with the labourers, taking charge of deliveries being made to site, confirming delivery notes and checking for damages. Any damages to deliveries to be noted on the delivery note and Site Management to be made aware of damages before signing for deliveries. Assisting delivery drivers and visitors to site as appropriate.
• Loading and unloading of materials which will involve handling of heavy and/or awkward objects.
• Transporting materials around site safely including loading, unloading, and stacking of materials.
• Tipping skips are to be monitored and emptied. Skips on site are to be monitored and exchanges notified to Site Manager in good time. Areas around skips are to be always kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure site is clean, tidy, and safe.
• Any other reasonable duties that you are requested to undertake.
• Will be required to get out of the machine to assist

Salary:
£18.00-£25.00 per hour

• St Albans, Hertfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- telehandler: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
- telehandler license (preferred)

• Driving Licence (preferred)
• CPCS (preferred)
