Description
We are a UK distributor of various products including medical devices and have a dedicated team at our base in Edinburgh who work alongside the rest of our staff throughout the UK.
We distribute to a variety of businesses including aesthetic/beauty clinics as well as professional doctors.Compliance:
- Carry out risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope
- Maintain an up to date understanding with relevant laws and regulations
- Monitor and aim to improve compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
- Educate employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact on the organisation if these aren't complied with
- Investigate irregularities and noncompliance issues
- Report on current risk and compliance performance and highlight or escalate areas of concern
- Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisation
- Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests
- Assist in recording and production of compliance manuals or policies
- Provide general compliance support as relevant in current or new business dealings, including the creation and/or performance of distribution and/or other contracts
- Perform various general administrative duties (such as file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects)
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
- Assist in dealing with clients, third parties or any other relevant bodies on issues of compliance, dispute resolution, or complaint handling
- Reviewing suppliers contracts
Business Support:
- Manage diaries and inbox on regular and ad hoc basis
- Provide support for key management staff, in particular the Managing Director
- Ensure the efficient running of key meetings, where appropriate
- Ensure there is a record of meetings and key discussions, where appropriate
- Assist and lead the collation and maintenance of relevant compliance and support documents as relating to business continuity
- Act as a point of contact for clients, third parties and other departments
- Assist the other departments in dispute resolution & complaint handling
- Provide other support to other departments when resource allows

- To remain proactive, energetic and organised in carrying out the duties
- To ensure efficient and good communication with relevant persons and departments
- To enhance your own knowledge of the internal and external procedures and regulations
- To work towards the improvement and growth of the company
- To attempt to manage all contentious matters efficiently and professionally
- To liaise with other key actors efficiently and in a timely manner
- To call clients, third parties, or any other relevant persons where appropriate
- Occasionally we may ask you to attend national exhibitions, compile competitor analysis and collate the trade leads.
- We may ask you to be point of contact for International enquiries until they purchase to make sure things run smoothly.

Salary:
£19,500.00-£26,000.00 per year

Experience:
Legal Secretary: 1 year (preferred)
