Electrical Assessor/Training Officer
Birmingham Electrical Training is a electrical training provider based in Birmingham. We currently train over 400 electrical apprentices working with 180 local and national electrical contractors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an additional Electrical Training Officer/ Assessor to our team.
Graded GOOD by Ofsted at our last inspection, we pride ourselves on delivering high quality industry relevant training to the next generation of electricians.

- Supporting Apprentices with building NVQ Portfolio
- Assessing Apprentices Evidence & Electrical Work in the workplace
- Undertaking progress reviews with apprentices every 1012 weeks
- Working with employers and supporting successful training of their apprentices
- Visiting Sites UK Wide to undertake reviews & assessments
- Undertaking Assessments at our Birmingham Training Centre
- Assessing Practical WORK
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Training Officer or Assessor (D32 and D33,A1 or TAQA)
- Qualifications in Health & Safety and NVQ Assessment (IOSH Managing Safely)
- City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in electrical installation/ Level 3 NVQ Apprenticeship & AM
- Ideally 18th Edition or Level 3 Test & Inspection Qualifications
- A passion for helping students achieve
- Good IT skills
- A positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Driving licence and access to a car is essential as travelling is required
OR
- Qualified electrician looking for a change of direction (training will be provided)
- Served a recognised apprenticeship (Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation + AM2)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience "on the tools"
- Relevant industry qualifications, e.g., 18th Edition, 2391 Test & inspection are desirable
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Electrical Installation
