The team work very collaboratively with other parts of the DIT including HQ, Overseas and Regional network, local partners, businesses, and stakeholders, to ensure effective engagement and communications.

Travel across the region and London may be required.

In addition, the postholder will work closely with our global overseas network and design impactful comms to keep them updated on developments and opportunities in the region, following up enquiries as necessary and also day-to-day manage the current 'Investment Champions' network of business ambassadors, contributing creative ideas on how this network can be used to promote the Midlands to potential investors.

The role requires someone who is comfortable being matrix managed but also happy to work on their own initiative with mínimal supervision.

  • Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with colleagues across DIT, local partners and other key stakeholders, including businesses within the region, to ensure the work of the Investment Hub team is visible.
  • Develop, manage, maintain and distribute our marcomms material to our overseas network and local partners, taking on board feedback to improve outputs via a live communication plan.

  • Support the team in managing inward missions and ministerial visits by assisting with logistics and programme content.
The role will be based in Birmingham.
