ARE YOU THE PERSON WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
An opportunity has arisen for an inspiring, self-driven person who can lead a motivated manufacturing team, making sure work is carried out in a safe and timely manner.
The key elements of the role will include:
- Oversee all aspects of planning and plotting workloads within the production schedule in line with customer requirements and resource availability
- Provide best practise support and work with other team members to review and where appropriate streamline the manufacturing process and improve efficiency
- Monitor build quality within the department and determine rectification system for correcting errors or quality issues
- Manage all jobpacks and associated documentation in relation to builds within the production department, engaging with the Engineering team as required.
- Ensure work is carried out in a timely and safe manner.
- Provide support and cover for the Test area as required to ensure continued throughput
- Personally build, wire and test starter and other LV equipment as dictated by resource availability and current orders
- Work with Commercial Manager on all recruitment issues and to identify requirement for external contract labour
- Work with the Warehouse Distribution team to maintain and where necessary improve current service levels to the Assembly Cell
- Be accountable for both personal and the teams development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco' s core competencies and learning and development framework

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING TO ROUTECO?
A natural influencer with a methodical and precise approach to your work.
You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office and education in Math and English to GCSE or equivalent level.
Experience within an electrical engineering role, or a background in electrical distribution would be an advantage, however a broad knowledge of wiring and fitting best practice with an understanding of wiring regulations is essential.
