Description
A fast-moving pharmaceutical company has a new opportunity for a Research & Development Project leader to join their team.

You will take responsibility for the activities in the Research and Development team, including the technical development and improvementof existing products, the creation of new products and processes, along with the project management tasks associated with these activities.

You will require a scientific-based degree as well as project management experience.


Duties to include:


  • Take ownership of, the research & development projects assigned by the Research & Development manager
  • Collect and interpret data associated with R&D projects
  • Maintain full, accurate and retrievable records of projects and related project management documentation
  • Effectively plan research & development projects, with support from colleagues
  • Organise the testing of prototypes
  • Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Adhere to all relevant requirements in the creation of new products
  • Support the creative process and the generation of new product ideas
  • Maintain all R&D systems and records, as specified in department and company SOPs
  • Liaise with other business functions, in the commercial launch or new products
  • Implement new technologies into new products
  • In conjunction with the R&D manager, proactively drive the improvement of the Research & Development team and its processes

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Project management and ownership skills
  • Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Full UK/EU driving licence
