Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder

Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide cleaning support for a young lady with autism and physical disabilities.

In the family home there are 3 pets, two cats and one small friendly dog (Dachshund), it is essential the applicant has no pet allergies and happy to be happy working in the home with the animals present.

Hours and rate of pay
(Part time) - 8 hours a week

Location
Stevenage (SG1)

DBS/Checks
Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

Training
Training will be offered to enable to complete the mandatory training required:

Safeguarding Adults
Introduction to first aid
Health and Safety

What you would be doing
Ensure surfaces are regularly dusted to maintain a clean and tidy living space.

Vacuuming and mopping the floors to keep the home free from dust and allergens.

Washing dishes and maintaining a hygienic kitchen environment.

Making beds to provide a comfortable and organised sleeping space.

Cleaning all areas of the bathroom and downstairs toilet.

Required skills and experience
Previous experience in cleaning roles is preferred.

Skills in handling individuals with autism are essential, as the household includes an autistic young lady and her two daughters.

Understanding of communication and interaction difficulties is essential.

A compassionate and understanding nature is crucial, considering the unique needs of the household.

Good timekeeping and punctuality are key to ensure consistency in cleaning routines.
