Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit
Classroom Supervisors, also known as Cover Supervisors
, to meet the demands of
day-to-day and
long-term supply for our partnership academies based in
North Lincolnshire.


Cover supervisors are suitably-trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence.

The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.


The role:


  • Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking work
  • Responding to any questions from pupil about process and procedures
  • Dealing with immediate problems and emergencies according to school policy
  • Collecting any completed work after lesson and returning to appropriate teacher
  • Reporting as appropriate using schools agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupil during the class, and any issues arising.

Skills and experience required

  • Good communication skills
  • A high level of written and oral English
  • Flexibility
  • A passion for education
  • Enjoy working with young people
  • Confidence to positively manage a class of secondary school students
  • Previous experience working in a UK school is desirable but not essential.
  • A current DBS registered with the update service or a DBS completed through Principal Resourcing
We work with many partnership academies to provide cover supervisors on a regular basis. You will predominantly be required to provide cover on an ad-hoc basis to meet the needs of the school.

Previous experience working with children or young adults is preferable, but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English at Grade C and above, equivalent literacy and numeracy qualifications or IELTS at a minimum grade or 6.5.


You can expect to be paid
up to £100 per day for this role, depending on experience and the role requirements.
