Project Description:

The Finance department plays a key role within The Wallich by controlling and monitoring all financial transactions to ensure that the organisations financial processes are legally compliant with standard accounting practices.

The Finance teams duties include providing financial reports to internal decision makers and external stakeholders, and are responsible for the organisation's payroll and requisitions functions.

Purpose of Role:

The Credit Controller will be responsible for achieving and maintaining an effective credit control system, ensuring that aged debt is minimised, queries on accounts are resolved promptly and cash flow is maximised.

The role will have an initial focus on investigating historic debt and reconciling the sales ledger to the CRM system, before developing into a more current debt management role.

Main Duties, Responsibilities and Person Profile:

To review and identify outstanding debt owed to the organisation, making internal and outbound contact to recover outstanding debt where appropriate.
To develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that debt collection is maximised.
To take preventative action to avoid further debt/arrears, ensuring a reduction in overall debt levels.
To maintain accurate records of debt identified and agreements reached - reconciling information with the appropriate financial system.
To follow correct policies in escalation through to any necessary outcome.
To ensure clear and regular communication with all stakeholders, issuing appropriate statements and monitoring payments against raised invoices.
