Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region.

We are working in partnership with Middlesbrough & Stockton Mind to deliver the IMPACT on Teesside service.


Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP)

Full time and Part time positions available

Salary Scale:
£26,000 - £27,000 pro rata to hours worked.

We are currently recruiting for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service providing PWP Modality interventions in our IAPT pathway, working with adults aged 16+ within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme.

PWPs deliver a variety of IAPT interventions, including face to face, telephone, and digital based work.


The successful post holders
must hold an IAPT PWP recognised qualification, be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to meet specified targets in order to deliver a high-quality Primary Care Mental Health Service.


Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will be employed by one of the organisations within the partnership which will be discussed at appointment.

You must have the right to work in the UK as we are currently unable to offer working visa opportunities.


Whilst we continue to offer a range of ways for people to access our services including face-to-face appointments across the Teesside area, we are also able to consider an element of remote delivery and will be happy to discuss options for hybrid working in line with patient and service needs.

Although we will consider hybrid working opportunities, please be advised this will not be a fully remote post.

Job description

Job responsibilities


The Postholder will provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions within the framework of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Programme as part of as part of Impacts Primary Care Psychological Wellbeing Therapies (PWT) Service across the Tees area.

The post
- holder will work as part of the Impact team and will provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions within the framework of the IAPT Programme as part of Impacts Team serving GP Practices across the NHS Tees area. The post-holder will also work within Impacts duty team where they will offer psychological assessment and support to patients referred into the service.

This position may require flexible hours between 8am until 8pm weekdays.

Responsibilities:


To work as a member of the Impact PWT Service Team

  • To create and maintain effective working relationships within the PWT Team and elsewhere.
  • To offer advice and support to other members of the wider Primary Care Team, including GPs and other Health Professionals, on mental health issues, and in relation to appropriate referral pathways for patients with mental health needs.
  • To liaise effectively with Secondary Care and voluntary sector organisations and services
