We're seeking a motivated Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Head Office team for a National Leisure company.

The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the promotion and development of the company's product and service.


This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to play a key role in developing and delivering marketing campaigns, from insight to evaluation, social media activity and providing quality assurance for both offline and online content.


Job Specification:


  • To create, develop and manage Social Media and positive engagement on all communication platforms, including internal social media platform.
  • To develop and to deploy marketing campaigns for new and existing services.
  • To assist in updating the websites of with a focus on ensuring information is kept uptodate, dynamic, and attractive.
  • Have direct line management responsibility for colleagues in the Commercial Team.
  • Act as a champion of excellent customer service and set the tone of how we communicate with our customers.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of company products and services.
  • Deliver first class communications across various platforms internally & externally.
  • Monitor social media channels to support marketing campaigns and our services.
  • Create awareness of and develop the brand and develop & implement a marketing strategy as part of a wider sales & marketing programme.
  • Evaluate and review marketing campaigns, advertising and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to make sure the correct mediums are being used and campaigns are effective.
  • Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio.
  • Work closely with external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures.
  • Conduct market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Track marketing performance and return on investment and prepare regular reports
  • Lead external agencies, when appropriate, to effectively manage events, press relationships, editorial requests, presentations, promotional materials, and online activities

Key Skills and Experience:


  • Marketing & Communications degree
  • Knowledge of EP Morris, Hootsuite & Canva
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
