SYNLAB UK & Ireland have extensive experience of working in partnership with the NHS to deliver and improve pathology services through its existing pathology joint ventures - including Southwest Pathology Services (SPS).


Are you looking for a rewarding career in a state-of-the-art laboratory, situated in the heart of Somerset, which offers customer centric medical excellence?

Hours:37.5hrs / Full-Time / Monday - Friday


Responsibilities:


  • Act as named contact for administration tasks.
  • Take minutes at meetings and distribute as appropriate.
  • Provide professional front of house and customer service Support to all users of the laboratory including engineers and visitors.
  • Monitor SPS Admin mailbox and action as appropriate.
  • Support all office administration duties, including answering telephones, drafting correspondence, taking messages, booking meetings.
  • Participate in department audits.

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • 3 x GCSE's to include English and Maths and/or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, level of knowledge.
  • Previous experience of taking minutes at meetings.
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative/customer services role.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of levels of staff within the laboratory, user organisations and suppliers of goods and services.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and team working abilities.
  • Ability to manage time to best advantage.
