RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the operational performance of the team to achieve business objectives, initiating hands-on approach when appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring that all associates working within the manufacturing area comply at all times to health, safety, environmental and Quality Systems.
Responsible for ensuring that all associates working within the manufacturing area receive appropriate training where necessary in order to maintain compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the transportation of finished product to the steriliser.
Ensure all products are manufactured as specified within the Quality System, and to organise corrective action to maintain the product at the accepted quality levels.
Participate in the team process of recruitment of new personnel, good employee relations, and the development of team members by an ongoing assessment of each individual.
Motivate, encourage and involve all team members in continuous improvement programmes. Have input into new processes and liaise closely with support teams and groups. Facilitate team meetings as necessary.
Administer holiday authorisation, self-certification, and attendance registration per the company policy and effectively communicates upon these to HR and Payroll as appropriate and in a timely manner.
Perform all duties that support and uphold the core values of the company. Maintain regular and clear communications on the status of all activities within the area.
Ensures all appraisals are completed as directed by the Value Stream Shift Leader to the standards as applied by the company.
Undertakes any other reasonable task/request as the position and job requires to achieve the overall Plant objectives.
EXPERIENCE:
- Thorough knowledge of all related manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance is essential.
- Experience of SAP, QDMS and LDMS systems.
- Experience of the "visual workplace", including 5S and SSU meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NVQ2 (ONC, CIM & City & Guilds) desirable
