Key Responsibilities:
The main areas of accountability and personal specification for the position are detailed below:
Bodily fluids can harden or set up quickly on carpeting, making it much more difficult to clean. Respond quickly, but make sure to follow all safety precautions like wearing appropriate PPE, securing the area, and ensuring the injured individual is safe
To undertake specialist cleaning duties to the prescribed standards as detailed in the site specification including:

  • Attend to Bodily fluid spills may require some specialized equipment depending on their location within the facility, the size of the spill and the type of spill, but must always clean up safely using the required equipment recommended in HSEQ

  • Block off the area until clean up and disinfection is complete. No visitors or unprotected staff members should be able to access the area.
  • Use correct PPE including disposable overalls and disposable gloves
  • All cleaning materials such as mops, brushes and rags need to be disposed of safely following cleaning.
  • Double bag all items, securely tie up garbage bags and discard
  • Cleaning interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
  • Clean floors and floor coverings
  • Maintain the internal environment
  • Service toilet areas: clean all toilet appliances i.e. toilets, sinks etc. and replenish customer supplies i.e. toilet rolls
  • To clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.
  • To report any problems on site to the supervisor/account manager so they may be rectified immediately.

Person specification:

  • Proof of UK residency for 3 years.
