Renowned for their passion for sustainability, this Bristol-based team are looking for a talented Front-End Developer who shares their values and enthusiasm for creating positive change and leaving the world in a better place.

They work with leading ethicaland purpose-driven brands to build high-quality eCommerce websites that are built with people and the planet in mind.

This will be a hybrid role with at least one day a week in their studio, and your working hours will be flexible to fit in with your life and commitments.


The skills will you need:


  • At least 2 years of experience developing websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.
  • An eye for design and layout aesthetics a portfolio or examples of previous projects would be great.
  • Self starter with the ability to creatively solve technical problems and track your own time.
  • Passionate about or similar values around achieving digitally sustainable sites.
Bonus points

  • You've worked in an eCommerce/web agency environment before.
  • You have previous Shopify/Liquid experience (setting up stores, building bespoke themes etc)
  • Keen to develop skills with React.
  • Experience in working with Adobe XD or Figma.

What you'll be doing:


Working alongside a tech team made up of two other Developers, a Designer, and a Project Manager, you will bring custom Shopify storefronts to life, creating exceptional eCommerce experiences; from high-converting homepages,to perfectly crafted product pages,and integrating 3rd party APIs.

From time to time, you'll join client calls during project delivery to share technical updates, but largely speaking this will be handled by the Account Manager.

Some of the key plans for this year include refining and focusing project processes so they're even more planet-consious, and they also intend to make their starter theme publicly available on Shopify.

Your views, suggestions and ideas will be highly valuedas they continue to evolve and grow.

You'll utilise your problem-solving skills and there will be opportunity to learn new tech skills (such as Shopify, React) down the line too.


What you'll get in return for your talents:


The starting salary is £30k and you can work remotely for up to 4 days per week, with flexible hours.

You'll be provided with your own MacBook Pro, as well as private healthcare and 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and additional days off over Christmas.

There's an annual team trip away and they also like to get out there and do some good offline, so you can expect team beach cleans and charity days too There will be opportunities to learn new tech skills (such as Shopify, React) down the line, and thereis dedicated time for learning within the role to allow you to develop skills that are of interest to you.
