Our client is a market leader within the automotive and high performance engineering space, supplying a number of top flight motorsport teams and vehicle OEMs.

They are looking for an Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team tosupport in designing test facilities and system integration.

The main role will be the design and/or support for the integration of electrical facility installations into new or existing buildings.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed calculations to assist in the rating of customer supplied transformer substations, based upon operational diversity, and apparent short circuit power requirements.
  • Produce Operational Diversity Spreadsheets to assist in the determination of customer substations and networks.
  • Produce "Single Line Power Distribution Diagrams", for dialogue with customers and subcontractors.
  • Produce "Electrical Sub-Contract Specifications" for the electrical subcontract on complex facility projects.
  • Produce LV Switchboard and GP Distribution Board schedules.
Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering if able to demonstrate 10+ years of building services design engineering.
  • Knowledge of Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
  • Knowledge of The 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018).
  • Knowledge of 690V/ 400V Topology.
  • Working Knowledge of ePLAN P8 (Preferred but not essential).
  • Electrical Building Design Experience.
Other Requirements

  • Right first time attitude.
  • Logical approach to problem solving.
  • Good communication skills to discuss engineering problems and solutions with customers and subcontractors.
  • Full UK Driving License
