Overview:

The Government Affairs Specialist will play a key role in supporting the delivery and development of tactical Government Affairs plans and policy engagement programmes.

Working alongside the Government Affairs Lead, you will also be required to assist in shaping the external environment through directly engaging with key stakeholders, decisionmakers and influencers (at Regional, National & Local levels) to essentially help to improve patients' lives and outcomes.

You will drive business unit objectives through developing policy messages for Parliamentarians, planning communications strategies and developing any related content (social media, website materials, press content).

Requirements:

Pharmaceutical industry experience in a similar role (public/government affairs focus) either within an inhouse or agency environment.
A solid understanding of the NHS and UK healthcare landscape.
Strong knowledge of the political landscape and process to include experience of engaging with relevant stakeholders, decision makers and/or influencers.
Experience/knowledge of the Oncology therapeutic area will also be highly advantageous.
