SIGNAGE PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - NOT A GRAPHIC DESIGNER ROLE
We are a family-run business based on Preston Docks and are looking for our next team member

For over 30 years, we have designed, manufactured and installed signs and graphics across the country.

Due to ongoing growth and development we are currently seeking a new addition to our production team in the form of an a Supervisor to manage and control our busy signage and graphics production department.

The ideal person for this role is someone with previous industry skills with practical knowledge and understanding of the production processes within the sign industry.

THIS IS NOT A GRAPHIC DESIGNERS JOB SO PLEASE DON'T APPLY

You must be ready for an active role, have an interest in working with your hands, be able to think on your feet, assist on fitting jobs and problem solve in a production environment.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE
All areas of the sign making processes - not graphic design

Supervision of all in house production including;

• Production of trays & cut lettering

Routing

Running various large format printers and laminators

Running our in house flatbed router


THE PERSON - ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Experienced in the manufacture of all types of signage

Ability to manage, communicate and control production staff

Report back to management on all aspects of work

Control stock, fitting schedules and maintain our high quality throughout production.

Experience of large format printers and various RIP's

Ability to use laminators

Ability to use a range of hand tools in the studio and external

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Being able to work as part of a team and working under their own initiative

Knowledge of materials used in the signage and graphics industry

Be punctual, willing to be a flexible and reliable member of our small team

Must have Full UK driving license

IPAF/PASMA/CSCS - advantageous but not essential

Additional training on our print/cutting equipment would be given as this varys company to company.


SALARY & BENEFITS
We work Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and occasionally at weekends, overtime is occasionally necessary.
