Marketing Executive Position
Northland Properties UK are looking for a talented, driven, and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to support the management of our brands in the UK&I - including Sandman Signature Hotels, Portmarnock Resorts, Chop Steakhouse & Bar and Shark Club


Following over 40 years of success in Canada, Northland Properties brought Canadian hospitality to the UK in 2011, in the form of this portfolio of brands.


Northland Properties now operate hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars in Newcastle, London Gatwick, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield and Portmarnock, near Dublin with further expansion planned into the future.

The construction and opening of Sandman Signature Edinburgh Hotel is coming soon.


Based in our Newcastle Head Office, our Marketing Executive will have a passion for marketing - with marketing experience in hotels, bars, or restaurants.

This role will report into the Group Marketing Manager UK&I and will support the business with all aspects of marketing across the portfolio.

Specifically in CRM, digital marketing, and content marketing.


Marketing Executive - Duties

  • Support the Group Marketing Manger UK&I to build and deliver the UK&I marketing plan
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand internal briefs for marketing support
  • Briefing relevant external agencies on upcoming marketing campaigns, events, or projects so they are delivered on time, on budget and to our high standards
  • Create outstanding content, including photoshoots, videography and copywriting
  • Create reports that demonstrate performance of marketing channels using Google Analytics, Meta Insights and CRM Analytical tools
  • Create and deploy a social media calendar that delights and keeps our brands top of mind for our target audiences. Inclusive of reactive, adhoc requests or "moments" plus the nurturing of user generated content and influencer/press collaborations
  • Manage and take part in our "out of hours" rota to monitor our social media channels
  • Be a brand custodian across all brands; ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to consistently
  • Digital administrative tasks like data formatting, uploads and website or social media updates
  • Manage printed collateral and stock levels in support of sales team activity
  • Plan and execute VIP visits including internal briefings, complimentary stays, and tours.
  • Other duties as required that fit within the level of this position

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 24 years in a marketing or similar position
  • A demonstrably proficient copywriter
  • The ability to demonstrate the creation of outstanding content
  • Ability to produce timely, accurate, and visual reports using Google Analytics, Meta or CRM analytical tools.
  • Methods that allow you to manage and prioritise competing requests on your time
  • A good general understanding across the marketing mix; specifically, CRM, Digital Marketing and Content Marketing

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • A marketing degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry; specifically, hotels, bars & restaurants
  • Have a commercial outlook in everything that you do

  • Salary £25,000 to £30,000 based on experience.
