Your new role, what's involved?

WSP, in a Strategic Partnership with Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP), will provide Professional Services for East Sussex County Council's highways and infrastructure services contract valued at £297 million. The role involves a mix of office and site-based work with travel and accommodation provided for inspections.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Planning inspection works
  • Undertaking inspections
  • Preparing pre-inspection and post-inspection site notes
  • Reviewing Inspection Reports
  • Ensuring colleagues' safety at all times

YOUR TEAM

The Structures team is engaged in highway and rail bridge engineering work, carrying out the annual programme of General & Principal Inspections for East Sussex Highways. A position is open for an Inspector to join the Bridges team in Ringmer, East Sussex.

You will play a key role in planning and executing a full inspection program, using your expertise to deliver quality within set timelines and budgets. Additionally, you will mentor and assist junior team members in all aspects of bridge inspection work.

  • Relevant inspection and access qualifications
  • Practical knowledge and experience of bridge inspection and reporting
  • Competency in using measuring and surveying equipment
  • UK driving licence
  • Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills
