    Project Coordinator Role

    A dynamic and flexible opportunity awaits you as a Project Coordinator at Aon. This hybrid role allows you to work both virtually and from our London, Chelmsford, or Reading office.

    Day-to-Day Tasks

    As a Project Coordinator, your days will be varied and busy. You'll work closely with project managers, portfolio directors, PMO teams, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and track project progress. Your responsibilities may include:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Governance:
    • Provide structured project/programme management aligned to Aon methodology.
    • Support the central PMO team in delivering governance process improvements.
    • Ensure projects/programmes have necessary artefacts for stage gate checks and health checks.
    • Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate project activities and document all phases appropriately.
    • Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
    • Communication and Coordination:
    • Serve as a point of contact for project/programme teams and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
    • Organize and participate in project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes.
    • Ensure teams have clear understanding of processes and tools related to project initiation, delivery, and closure.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and system updates.
    • Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
    • Support programme/project managers in preparing regular project status reports.
    • Support programme/project managers in preparing for stage gate reviews.

    Skills and Experience Required

    To excel in this role, you should possess:

    • Broad experience in lead PMO and project/programme delivery.
    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to build working relationships across levels.
    • Critical thinking and ability to investigate complex business problems.
    • Technical competence in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
    • Adaptable approach and ability to communicate openly with stakeholders.
