Senior Security Consultant

Home Based

Full Time - Permanent Hours/Week

They are looking to recruit a Senior Security Consultant to support and lead customers on their journey as well as help develop products and service offerings.

This role reports to the Head of Technical Services.

It is primarily home-based but there will bea requirement on occasions to also travel to client sites around the UK.

They have a wide range of Security and Compliance products and services in both the professional and managed service space, working with a wide range of clients from SMBs all the way through to large complex Enterprise organisations.

These range from advisoryservices, security deployment, 24/7 managed SIEM/SOC, and Security Incident Response (CSIRT) services.

As their customers continue to transform their business processes and systems, moving more of their IT services and systems to the cloud they are increasinglyturning to their client to modernise their approach to IT security.


Summary of responsibilities

  • Provide expert insight and thought leadership into the current IT security market and support in continuing to develop and deliver market leading products and services for their customers.
  • Work with internal Sales, Marketing, Finance and delivery teams to develop all aspects of their security products and offerings in line with customer requirements. To include;
  • Service descriptions and technical solution blueprints
  • Internal training and marketing material
  • Operational and delivery guidelines
  • Commercial product costings and calculators
  • Support presales with security opportunities and help solidify their trustedpartner status with customers
  • Lead conversations at departmental and Clevel, facilitating the development of customer Security and compliance strategies.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships as needed to support the delivery and improvement of their products and service offerings
  • Working as a senior consultant and architect, support the delivery of strategic projects by their professional services teams.
  • Evangelize Security products across the business internally and externally with Clients.
  • Work with marketing and external partners to organise and deliver security events, webcasts, podcasts and blog articles

  • Insider risk management
  • Regulatory compliance (ISO, GDPR etc)
  • Threat and vulnerability management including Defender
  • CASB / Application control / Conditional access
  • Firewall / IPS / IDS / DDOS
  • Device and data encryption
  • PenTesting

Certifications

  • M365 security MS500
  • Azure security AZ500

Skills

  • Be able to demonstrate technical understanding of the features and capabilities of various market leading security software providers (particularly interest in Microsoft, AWS, Fortinet, FireEye, Qualys, CrowdStrike)
  • Be comfortable leading solution and strategy workshops with customers, engaging at Clevel as required
  • Demonstrable ability to build product pricing models and calculators
  • Independent selfstarter with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong PC literacy and Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of Camtasia or Captivate to create videos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and professional attitude when on client site
