We are currently recruiting for a well-known Insurance Brokers, with a leading presence across the South of England, who are part of a leading player in the UK insurance market.

They are now looking to add a couple of ambitious Commercial Account Handlersto their team in Gillingham (Dorset). With both sitting under different Execs/Directors here.

They are a super firm to work for, with a very low turnover of staff and operate an open-door policy.

They want to look after their people here

The office is also a great space to work from, with their being some super facilities, including a canteen and shower available with free parking


Commercial Account Handler 1


Your day-to-day role here will be to support the Commercial Director and one Account Executive, providing them with support on their accounts.

These are made up of a mix of commercial clients, with a large amount of quality waste management businesses (40%)and the rest being mid to large corporate business with premiums from £10k-£1million.

You will be required to run reports, deal with renewals and MTA's as well as looking at cross selling opportunities and online add ons (D&O/PA/Travel) and rebroking.

Currentcommissioned income stands at around £400k.


Commercial Account Handler 2
Your day-to-day role here will be to support the Office Manager/Exec, providing them with support on their accounts.

These are made up of a mix of commercial clients, with a wide range of clients, and premiums from £1k-250k.

You will be the dedicated Handlerfor these accounts and supporting the office manager and as such will deal with rebroking, MTA's, NB quotes and renewals.

They use Acturis here too, so experience using this system would be a distinct advantage.


What's on offer:

To be considered for these roles, you will need to have a solid commercial insurance background of at least 2 years gained at a broker and should be used to using Word, Excel, and wider broking platforms (Acturis in an ideal world)


Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm and they currently offer 2 days a week work from home, with the remaining 3 being office based.
