Position - Senior Flood Risk Consultant

Location - Shrewsbury

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, are searching for an ambitious
Senior Flood Risk Consultant who has strong technical knowledge and a keen interest in working with a bespoke team in Shrewsbury.

We support property professionals and asset managers with our innovative environmental information. We are lookingfor someone who can deliver specialist advice on flood risk, drainage, and contaminated water.

Applicants are required to have the following experience:

Experience working as a consultant for a UK based Consultancy or a Local Authority.
Hydrology, Environmental Management or Civil Engineering degree or similar post graduate qualification.
A good understanding of environmental consultancy, specialising in flood risk, drainage, and contaminated land.
Enthusiastic and willing, with a strong team player attitude.
Strong communicator to attend meetings with Private and Public Sector Clients.
Have a technical background in using GIS and modelling software

Responsibilities and Duties

You will need to write and review reports on environmental risk including flooding and drainage, assisting junior consultants.
Team management and mentoring.
Supporting the Clients commercial developments taking on active role in securing work.
Leading Client meetings to discuss project progress.
Technical oversight and reviewing of proposals and bids.
Flood risk assessments.
Drainage Strategies.
Review contaminated water reports and liaise with external consultants
Undertake travel for business development.
