Job Title:
Packing Assistant

Reports to:
Packing Team Leader, Production Manager

Role Overview:
The Packing Assistant will be part of the Production team and will be based in our Wandsworth Factory. They will work closely with the Quality, Warehousing and Production Planning departments.

Principal Responsibilities:

Communicate any Warehouse or Order Processing errors
Communicate requirements upchain for BOM and specification changes.
Work with Despatch to improve palletising and reducing freight costs wherever possible
Review and propose packing specifications
Organize and monitor stock of packing materials.
Look into alternative packing methods and propose equipment to the process engineer.
Familiar with all packing and labelling materials and able to set up labels (familiar with software).
Familiar with all instructions and have been trained in our product range.
Streamline to ensure no orders are mixed when orders are prepared
Checking of goods before despatch.
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times
Be proactive with a positive 'can do' approach, and role model our company values and behaviours

Qualifications and Experience

Have some experience in packing or warehousing

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

Basic level MS Office
Excel, Word, Outlook.
Interested in understanding the technical aspects of the business.
Excellent time and task management, communication and team working skills.
Good report writing skills, with good written and spoken English

Working Hours
45 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 7:30am until 5pm.

30 minutes lunch break unpaid and two paid tea breaks of 15 minutes each.

Remuneration
Between £21K to £23K based on experience
