Dealer Principal - Leeds and Sheffield


An opportunity has arisen for a Dealer Principal based in Leeds who will be responsible for our Leeds and Sheffield DAF Trucks Dealerships.

Ford & Slater are one the UK's largest DAF Truck Dealer groups:

Key Responsibilities
The Leeds and Sheffield dealer locations employ 100 persons incl. nearly 40 HGV Technicians.

Alongside the busy service departments and Leeds bodyshop, the sites will register 600 new trucks and sell > £8 million parts per annum.

As Dealer Principal, you will have overall accountability for people and financial performance for these two Sales Dealer locations:

  • Lead, manage and motivate your team ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managed
  • Oversee the sales and aftersales departments' performance
  • Agree and set financial and growth objectives for each department with the management team, and plan accordingly to ensure profitability targets are met
  • Support the dealership to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure dealership activities are conducted in line DAF franchise standards, companies policies, legal and regulatory requirements

The right person must be a confident and highly professional individual who has the ability to take on a large operation across sales, service and parts. You will be a real leader, someone who can nurture and develop a team and take the site to the next level.


Given the nature of this role, it is preferred that you have previous experience at Senior Management level within the commercial vehicle industry.
