Pay Range:
Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale


Actual Salary from:
£28,000 - £43,685 (M- U3)


With a TLR2B (£5,027)

Start Date: 1st September 2023

The Role
We are seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Head of Computer Science.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To take overall responsibility for KS3 Computer Science and GCSE Computer Science
  • To take responsibility for a vocational equivalent such as IT B-Tec
  • Carrying out the functions of a teacher in accordance with the Teacher Standards and the stated aims and objectives of The Stanway School and the Department.
  • To be accountable for the highest standards of pupil achievement within Computer Science and vocational equivalent, monitoring and evaluation of pupil achievement and setting targets for improvement.
  • Maintaining/increasing current provision of extracurricular clubs and/or trips.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach "outstanding" lessons.
  • Experience of supporting staff and students in maintaining high standards.
