Position:
Supporting the work of the environmental permitting team to prepare environmental risk assessments and other documentation needed for making Environmental Permit Applications.
Requirements:
Responsibilities
- Support senior team members and help existing clients maintain compliance with extant permits including reviewing and processing environmental monitoring data and working with environmental monitoring technicians and laboratories.
- Support senior team members by providing information to allow the production of invoices to help with client project management.
Requirements / Attributes
- Communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work as part of a team.
- Time and organisational skills are necessary to allow the completion of work on time and within budget.
- Willingness to take on responsibility, and use initiative but primarily work with supervision. Develop technical knowledge under the instruction of senior team members and through attendance of relevant training.
- Develop an understanding of client interactions and commercial pressures with the objective of supporting senior team members to develop client relationships.
- Maintain and develop wellwritten skills to allow the production of reports.
Essential Qualifications
- First degree in a relevant Science or Geography or Civil Engineering
- Good basic IT skills especially MS Word and Excel.
Desirables
- Relevant higher degree.
- Membership of a relevant Chartered Institute.
- Understanding and use of environmental risk assessment tools e.g. LandSim.
- Have knowledge of the permitting and planning process.
- Have knowledge of EMS and QMS.
