Hereford Nuffield Hospital looking for a full time Clinical Lead for our 20 bedded private healthcare ward.We are ideally looking for an individual who has prior experience as a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse looking for their next step or with previous department leadership who is organised, highly motivated and focused on patient centred care.
The Nuffield Health Hospital in Hereford is located in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside and sits just half a mile north of Hereford City Centre.
The Ward consists of 20 inpatient beds, 3 day surgery unit beds and a busy ACU with the majority of patients receiving elective Surgical procedures.
We cater for both inpatient and day case surgery, providing a broad range of surgical specialties including:General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Vascular, Plastics and more.
Working with leading consultants, Hereford hospital prevents and treats many medical conditions and offers a wide range of complex surgery and services.
The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
As the Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing budgets, clinical and nursing audits, manage the Ward rota including maintaining the On-Call rota and ensure practices and procedures are delivered in a safe and effective manner.
As a Ward Manager, you will:
Manage the day to day running of the ward.
Lead a team of highly qualified nurses.
Work collegiately with our Clinical Governance lead in the delivery of safe and effective care.
Monitor care across the ward.
Use your existing knowledge to help shape a superior patient experience.
Leadership and coaching for all staff.
Supporting the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy.
Satisfactory fulfilment of core competencies.
Manage the achievements and maintenance of the Care Standards Act.
What are we looking for?
RN Qualification.
Experience working in a similar environment.
Experience as a Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse
Supervisory or leadership experience is required.
Relevant sufficient post-registration experience.
