Financial Systems Accountant - Permanent - Bracknell (hybrid working)


A Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant with extensive financial and accounting systems knowledge is required to ensure all systems are operating effectively.

The role will play a key part in all areas of audit, both the external financial audit and numerousinternal audits covering SOx and ITAC controls.


As someone with both accounting expertise and a good knowledge of financial services and accounting systems, you will be expected to represent the Finance and Treasury team in all systems-related matters working closely with both internal and external teams.


This role will help ensure that the business is compliant in all areas of audit and that the Financial Statements are completed within the desired deadlines.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Audits and Statutory Accounts work closely with auditors and Financial Controller to support Audit and Stat Accounts delivery, in compliance with IFRS
  • SOx and other Audits compliance
  • System Accounting monitoring/reviewing existing finance and accounting systems, developing solutions for improvements

Experience/Skills:


  • Fully or Part Qualified ACCA / CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience of Financial Services systems in particular SAP
  • Proficient in the use of Excel
  • Strong investigation and problem resolution skills
  • Task driven with accurate, timely and auditable approach
  • Ability to work with other departments, a good clear communicator with ability to drive solutions
