We are currently recruiting for a Bid Writer based in West Lothian, for our client, a successful small-medium sized building contractor.

This exciting opportunity will give the successful applicant an opportunity to work with an organisation who provide a wide range of new build and refurbishment construction services across commercial, community, educational, industrial and leisure projects.

As an organisation, they come with long standing client relationships which allows for repeat business.


The post holder will take ownership of and submit completed professional bids to existing or prospective clients; you will also produce creative and innovative bid solutions, in line with the organisations strategic growth plan.

This process must be delivered on time and to the requirements of the invitation to tender.

  • Research and help target possible invitations to tender (ITT) and future business opportunities
  • Work alongside the Bid Manager, Estimating Team and Operations Director
  • Gather data and evidence to include in Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ)
  • Design, write, edit and submit PQQ and ITT bid documents
  • Keep accurate records and help maintain the Bid Library for future use
  • Design, write and edit marketing material


You should be able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) and you should be able to demonstrate previous examples of delivering effective engagement strategies for the purposes of the role.
