PURPOSE OF THE JOB CMM Inspector
Themainpurposeofthepositionistoensurecomponentsareinspectedtodrawingtolerance, specifications,efficientlyandaccuratelywithahighattentiontodetail.

Ensure that robust inspection practices and techniques are employed in an efficient

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect parts, CMM or manual methods, adjusting CMMprograms
Multiset CMM's WhenRequired

Perform in process, first off and final inspection activities on all products and evaluate conformance to engineeringrequirements
EnsuresallqualityrelatedmattersareraisedduringInspectiontotheQualityorProductionTeam forresolution.
Maintaining a quality first outlook on all inspection activities and decisionsmade
Ensures that all documentation and reports are maintained and completed accurately. This could be updating PCP's, Critical feature requirements and FAIRData.
Raise nonconforming material/products and support corrective action activity/ investigations whenrequired

Person Specifics of the CMM Inspector

Essential Desirable
Proficient in alternate controls software to create programs for inspection

Working knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM's

using COSMOS Platform

Previous experience in a similar role.

PC-DMIS Platform

Understanding of CMM Best practice

In Depth Knowledge of GD &T

Qualifications

Essential

Desirable
Recognised CMM Training or Programmer/operator training

ONC/HNC level or equivalent Certified internal auditor

Full apprenticeship/time served in machining or relevant skills applicable to the role

Adjusting CMM programs & Writing Programs
