Description
TEXO Recruitment are looking for a structural Designer/Surveyor on behalf of our engineering division, based in Westhill, Aberdeen. Contract and permanent opportunities available.


You will work within the Design and Engineering department, providing design and support to the Engineering deliverables whilst working to TEXO procedures.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Health, Safety and Environment across all Dundee operations complying with best practice, company procedures, risk assessments and legal requirements
  • Promote a proactive commitment to TEXO improvement initiatives
  • Produce structural drawings / 3D Modelling engineering deliverables to a high standard with the ability to use point cloud/processed scan data
  • Designs are completed with a thought process of safety, constructability, and from an operational point of view.
  • Undertake droughting and checking of drawings where required.
  • Perform offshore surveys utilising Laser Scanning/Digital technology as well as conventional methods
  • Understanding and ensuring TEXO are aligning with Client and Class Technical requirements
  • Raising concerns and making suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings and attending workshops and other training initiatives.
  • Maintaining a high degree of professionalism and diligence.
  • Guide trainee designer/surveyors in their development.
  • Drawing & Design folder upkeep filing, checking, approvals, design reviews, drawing register and specifications are aligned with client and class requirements.
  • Must hold all relevant offshore survival and medical certificates

Quality, Safety, Health & Environment

  • All employees have a responsibility for ensuring their own health and safety and that of their colleagues

  • Only use equipment and substance where trained to correctly do so
  • Identify and take any obvious corrective actions to resolve nonconformances and prevent loss in your immediate area, reporting any hazards to HSEQ Team/Line Manager
  • Promote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management system.
  • Support the Company's environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions.

Business Development

  • To promote Texo Group where possible
  • To look and pass on opportunities, cross sell other divisions of the Texo Group where applicable and pass any opportunities to Business Development Team.

Salary:
£45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
