Education Welfare Officer

required to work Full Time in Primary and Secondary Schools in the Caerphilly area

to start in September 2023

A vacancy has arisen for an Education Welfare Officer with a commitment to working with schools and families to ensure that every child is receiving a suitable full time education by encouraging regular attendance at school.

The hours are full time 32.5 hours a week.

Successful applicants will be someone who:

Has good communication/interpersonal skills.
Has experience of working with children for example as a Teaching Assistant or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
Is technically proficient and well organised.
Has a thorough knowledge of issues in education.
Is enthusiastic, with a professional and caring attitude.
Has GCSE grade C or above in English/Welsh and Mathematics.
The ability to communicate in Welsh may be an advantage.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 7 months
