Job Description:


This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate a team of risk professionals to provide insightful, high-quality analysis, advice and oversight to a fantastic breadth of genuine top-of-house Group level activities.

These include operational risk capital and retail credit risk weighted assets.


Our diverse team of colleagues reflects this variety of activity, and our practical contributions range from horizon scanning and regulatory interpretation, analytical assessment and calculation, to risk oversight and advisory support.

Join our team, where we:

  • Monitor external market conditions, regulatory and industry developments, identify and interpret emerging requirements, headwinds and capital risks, and assess their potential implications for our financial resources and capital plans.
  • Provide expertise with regards to operational risk capital regulations including production of Group, RFB and LBCM Operational Risk Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) submissions
  • Forecast Retail RWAs and Operational Risk Losses under a variety of economic scenarios for internal planning and external regulatory stress tests.
  • Oversee the risk management and control and policy framework of the Group's credit and operational risk weighted assets, and associated analysis and reporting including regulatory submissions.

- build and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including across Risk, Finance and business divisions, acting as a source of professional expertise and proactive support, and capable of constructive challenge.
- provide continuous risk oversight to monitor and identify risks, issues and emerging areas of concern, and you'll ensure control frameworks, processes and systems are fit for purpose and evolve as necessary.
- contribute across all areas of our team's responsibilities and activities, building an understanding of inter-linkages, dependencies and relative priorities, and ensure these are continuously re-assessed.
- role model a strong culture of inclusion, engagement and development, and provide leadership and direction, helping all colleagues to meet their aspirations.
- drive performance and encourage delivery through others by developing colleagues with stretching objectives, feedback and mentoring.

  • Analytical and problemsolving capability, applied within a financial, credit, impairment or operational risk related environment.
