The Role
We at the Royal British Legion, believe in building on potential. The Membership Engagement Team provides support to our branches and membership and our Membership Engagement Officers enable this Team to be the best they can

We are the country's largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 50,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; helping us give support wherever and whenever it's needed.


The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role, which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion's Membership handbook and policies.


We are looking for someone who can engage effectively with a range of audiences and both support and challenge stakeholders.

As our MEO, some of your focuses will be;

  • Provide organisational support, advice and information to our members
  • Work closely with County Committees, membership central team staff and other departments
  • Connect and building relationships with Branches through to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries
  • Engage with new members
  • Inform them about the Legion within their first few months, connecting them to their local, regional, and national Legion events, for activities and opportunities
  • In collaboration with the Membership Compliance and Events team share membership
  • Feedback on and support approach to the delivery of Annual conferences, national events & training

This role is home based, although requires travel throughout The Greater London District (GLD) and occasional travel to National locations for meetings.

Due to which, you will have a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and be within a travelable distance to the GLD.

The role also requires evening and weekend work.
