We are looking for a MHE Trainer/Coordinator to join a New Distribution Site in Aylesbury:
Monday to Friday - Shift Pattern
Core Hours 08:00 - 17:00, But flexibility will be needed for Training Night Shift

As a MHE Trainer/Coordinator, you will be working alongside the H&S Manager to review, create and implement Policies and risk assessments across all MHE we use on-site, as well has completing training & re-fresher courses on Forklifts, PPT, LLOP & Scissor Lift's.


We ideally would love you to hold a IOSH qualification but it is not essential if you have relevant experience.


The Role & Responsibilities:


Responsible for ensuring your learners are well prepared for exams and provide them with the support they need to pass with confidence in a safe, caring, and fun environment.

Conduct all Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) training in accordance with current legislation and company requirements.
Maintaining sufficient records of training to ensure best practice refresher time frames are met.
Assist with investigations involving all types of MHE to ensure suitable remedial actions are identified and completed.
Assist in the creation and development of localised refresher training material to support drivers daily.
Competency in developing and delivering specific training to all colleagues and management.
Managing the inspection and maintenance on all MHE on site with mínimal impact on operations

Monitor and observe work activities that include the use of MHE from pallet truck to Reach, identifying and remedying poor practice and sharing lessons learned through development of safety bulletins.

Engaging drivers to proactively report hazards and risks to prevent incidents.

Be an ambassador for learning, leading by example whilst providing training & support to all learners and continuous on the job coaching.

Keep up to date with the latest regulations & legislation relevant to MHE and H&S and ensure new practices are aligned within the business.


You will need:

Previous experience providing training preferably as a certified MHE instructor.
Previous warehouse experience and holder of Reach & LLOP licences
Experience of training, coaching and mentoring people of mixed ages and mixed abilities.
Proven experience of investigating accidents and incidents involving MHE
Strong & accurate administration skills along with MS Office - Excel and PowerPoint
